【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtolocatetheglasstransitionregionandassignaglasstransitiontemperatureofamorphousandsemi-crystallinematerials.Dynamicmechanicalanalyzersmonitorchangesintheviscoelasticpropertiesofamaterialasafunctionoftemperatureandfrequency,providingameanstoquantifythesechanges.Inidealcases,thetemperatureoftheonsetofthedecreaseinstoragemodulusmarkstheglasstransition.Aglasstransitiontemperature(Tg)isusefulincharacterizingmanyimportantphysicalattributesofthermoplastic,thermosets(seeSRM18R-94),andsemi-crystallinematerialsincludingtheirthermalhistory,processingconditions,physicalstability,progressofchemicalreactions,degreeofcure,andbothmechanicalandelectricalbehavior.Tgmaybedeterminedbyavarietyoftechniquesandmayvaryinaccordancewiththetechnique.Thistestmethodisusefulforqualitycontrol,specificationacceptance,andresearch.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheassignmentofaglasstransitiontemperature(Tg)ofmaterialsusingdynamicmechanicalanalyzers.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletothermoplasticpolymers,thermosetpolymers,andpartiallycrystallinematerialswhicharethermallystableintheglasstransitionregion.1.3Theapplicablerangeoftemperaturesforthistestmethodisdependentupontheinstrumentationused,but,inordertoencompassallmaterials,theminimumtemperatureshouldbeabout-150176;C.1.4Thistestmethodisintendedformaterialshavinganelasticmodulusintherangeof0.5MPato100GPa.1.5Electronicinstrumentationorautomateddataanalysisanddatareductionsystemsortreatmentsequivalenttothistestmethodmayalsobeused.Note18212;Theuserbearstheresponsibilityfordeterminingtheprecision,accuracy,andvalidityofthetechniquesandmeasurementsmadeusingdynamicmechanicalanalyzersinaccordancewiththisstandard.1.6SIunitsarethestandard.1.7ThisstandardissimilartoIEC61006exceptthatstandardusesthepeaktempratureofthemechanicallosspeakastheglasstransitiontemperaturewhilethisstandardusestheextrapolatedonsettemperatureofthelossmoduluschange.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
